Greeted by Elaine Reading we were welcomed warmly and given a quick tour of the Veterinary facility in London Zoo. We were then treated to an incredibly interesting lecture by Matthew, the head vet in the facility. It was incredibly interesting and interactive, and it was an extra treat to see a video of a gorilla cleaning a table!
Finally we got a tour of the zoo, the part we had all been waiting for! We got up close and personal with the meerkats and the penguins, and also made friends with a family of tigers! My visit to the ZLS was an experience I'll never forget, and will definitely help me to define my career path in the future.
